Sorry, but I've been watching this campaign for over a year now. I really really don't understand how the idea of having Darth Vader– a psychopathic mass murderer and the embodiment of evil just shy of Hitler– around as your pal is a positive thing.
Is the Japanese disconnect with context that clean? Are characters really just iconic designs? Is there no difference between pikachu, hello kitty, Darth Vader, and that little rat-dog mascot of the Tokyo Police?
